East Carolina University College of Nursing (ECU) CRNA 2025

Published

Hi friends! Anyone applying this round for the CRNA program? I don't see any recent info but would love to get a thread going for those currently applying 😊

Anyone know when interviews are typically held / if they are in person or online?

Any insight on what the school prioritizes in its candidates / what to expect from the interview?

Anyone currently enrolled in this program & would you recommend it if so? Any advice for current applicants?

Thanks in advance & good luck to all!!

Does anyone know how many people are being interviewed and then how many seats they'll be offering? Got an interview and super excited!

The post last year said 8-12 a day, 2x a week, for 3-4 weeks. Interviews started Oct 3. In the past it has been cohorts of 12.

There were 10 of us yesterday! They did also confirm 12 spots! I believe (but not 100 percent) that yesterday was the first day of interviews for this session. I heard the same too about potential interviews 1-2x a week possibly until the end of this month. The director said "should know something by Thanksgiving" in his intro yesterday but I would hope sooner than that just for my own nerves loll.

How was everyone's interview?

Its always 12 seats. They are constrain to 12 due to the number of seats left in the auditorium at the Brody School of Medicine. After the new medical school is built they might be about to up enrollment but that will take years....

Last year acceptance/denials were sent out way earlier.... Like super early

Yeah, the entire application process is extremely frustrating and nerve-racking. You're going to feel like you've bombed the interview. 70-80 interviews for 12 spots is crazy but its possible to get in!

I agree! It's a long process and then so exciting to get an interview to realize that the chance of actually getting in is statistically still so slim. But going to work for it and prepare my best!

I was just making that comment to a friend. The stats aren't great, but some of us will have to get the spots. May the odds be ever in your favor

Getting an interview at ECU is the biggest hurdle... just be yourself, be enthusiastic about joining the profession and if you get anything wrong during the interview just move on. Do not let it drag down the rest of your interview.

Does anyone know, historically, when do they send out decision letters? I interview next week and know I'll just be a nervous wreck waiting to hear back.

Wow. Epic fail on that interview. For those of you who haven't yet, they are super supportive, they want you to succeed. You are your own worst enemy.
