Hello All,
Today I landed and survived a great interview for an acute care position at a pediatric hospital. I would love to send a thank you card, but I feel it may be a few days before either Director receives it. By then they may have trouble remembering me or have made their decision!
In today's e-world is it faux pas to send a thank you letter via email for instant success? Thoughts?

I don't know if it's a faux paus, but I would use snail mail. Write in your note something about the meeting that you both will remember.

Oh, you should definitely go for the snail mail option. Congratulations on your interview. Nothing wrong with sending the thank you letter via e-mail. It is faster and more effective.

I would opt for snail mail, a conservative thank-you card and a comment about what you would bring to the position.
Email TY cards are still frowned upon by most supervisors as the "easy way out." Make the extra effort and they will see you as having initiative, drive and persistence.

Do BOTH....that's how my last staff RN landed her job. She stood out from the others by taking the time to follow-up.
