I got ahold of a nurse consultant and was basically told they could help me with reporting and most likely would have to do tpapn the program. But I was also told to avoid that program I could get a lawyer which I did. He helped me with reporting to BON and he will also help me when I renew which isn't until October. So my choice of getting a lawyer was to avoid tpapn and he also told me that the sooner you report the better.

I currently put in for renewal right now and have a lawyer representing me. Pre trial already completed months ago, will let you know how it goes. Im also trying to avoid TPAPN

I have a mark for a DUI and went through a year probation and have an active unencumbered license. I got a job at a federal facility AND was offered a travel contract while I was on probation (my probation was just random drug screens). I don't want to downplay a DUI but employers don't see it as that big of a red flag. You'll still find a job

BUT, on the boards side of things, they will offer you the TPAPN first and if you refuse then they'll file an accusation or whatever and that's when you'll have to go before the board. All in all it wasn't that bad I guess

RickG85, did you get a lawyer for the BON and still had to do TPAPN?

Nope, no lawyer. This is in a different state but very similar rules. I just opted for probation with a mark on my license. The initial meeting with the board stated I get a drug and alcohol evaluation and the evaluator recommended just a year of drug screens and that's it, they didn't recommend the TPAPN variant but just board monitored probation

RickG85, at the federal facility did they do a background check like equip the homeland security one?

Yep, I told them about the DUI during fingerprints and she said "that's fine, we've seen it all". The equip or whatever it's called was more in depth but she just asked for an explanation and I told them what happened and I was sorry and she goes OK that's all I need. I was approved a few weeks later.

When you went for the evaluation,  did they access your medical records?

@Filimurse

How did it go after putting up for your renewal?
