I just wanted to start a thread for prospective students hoping to start Duke's ABSN program in the Fall of 2018! Feel free to leave any questions or background info!
Did anyone else get the "financial aid to-do items" section pop up on their sis account? Mine popped up and has a yellow triangle symbol indicating that I have to send in my tax return and other stuff, but I'm not sure if there is a specific due date for turning those in...
Oh hmm mine appeared too. They have my FAFSA and there are 5 other things that it says it needs... ugh do. not. want.
But I also need $$$ so :\
Same here... I really just want to hear about the results before I have to start compiling all the documents to send to them...
+1. We've done ENOUGH forms and applications to not spend time potentially wasting on random forms...
Also I just wanna complain about the fact that I'm a fully independent student with no support from my family, yet I'm forced to give information about both of my divorced parents even though I will not be receiving anything from them. It seems very unfair to me... but anyway, I'm sure this discussion could go on, I just wanted to vent a little. /vent
That's just a sub category basically. You should only have to submit that paperwork if you select you are not head of household/married on your tax returns. I have been an independent student since I was 18 and only had to put in my parent's information once the very first time I applied for FAFSA. It only had to be the parent I lived with as well and there was still a disclaimer that I would not be receiving any financial support from my parents.
Does anyone else's siss show application incomplete still? I've contacted my advisor and he says everything is good but I still panic every time I see that little green box.
Yeah mine's in the same state. I emailed trying to confirm that everything's all good and I never heard back :\ but I think it's ok :)

Of all the threads I have read, they're pretty consistent on the same timeline they've had for years. If you get an invite to Duke Days early march that's a good indicator that you're accepted or waitlisted but an official acceptance won't come out until April.
