Yes I have. Check your online application, that's where they put the offer letter, that's also where you have to accept/decline

well what to do now?

Congratulations you guys! Welcome to the Duke family :) I am in my first year of the program and I love every minute of it. If there is anything I can do to help let me know. To those who get deferred or wait listed, hang in there! I was on the wait list up until the end of July and got in 3 weeks before school started!!! Similar destinations have different paths!

Just came across this. But I will also be starting in Duke's CRNA program for the fall of 2016. I currently live in the raleigh/Durham area so if anyone has questions about good places to live let me know! The is a great area! Lots of great food, craft beer, concerts, etc! I will warn you that rent is expensive here (avg for 1 bedroom is anywhere from $850-1000/month). I would avoid the area around Duke as its not the best area. Most people that live here are in the Brier Creek area of Raleigh.

Awesome!!! How is traffic to and from Brier Creek? I come from VCU and living in the city so I didn't have to worry about parking passes and what not. Trying to cut down on costs (obviously). So when did you interview??

Brier creek is about 15-20 minutes to campus/downtown Durham and about 20 minutes to downtown raleigh. I will say that traffic on the highways here is horrible especially during rush hour. The nice thing with the brier creek area is you can avoid the highways if need be. But I interviewed back in January

Ugh thought I had gotten away from DC traffic!!! But I will definitely take a look into Brier Creek. I have been only looking near the Campus as to minimize driving-but I guess that's inevitable. Do you by any chance know the cost of a parking pass for the campus?

If you're looking to be in Durham, the area around south point is pretty good (about 15 minute drive) and there are a few decent places off of highway 15-501 between Durham and chapel hill. But any places directly next to Duke campus is either gonna cost you up the butt for rent and like I said not the best area. Parking I wanna say is around $150ish a school year for students. I know I paid $12/month as hospital staff. Parking is pretty bad, we will have to shuttle in, but definitely not as bad as UNC. There is a parking garage directly across from the SON, which is for the hospital that you can park in if your late but that costs $8/day

So by shuttle in- you mean get to campus at said parking lot, and then shuttle from there? I've seen some places near campus, just like city living... Freaking expensive. But I'm going to look into a parking pass I guess.

Im trying to figure out when I'm moving down there. They haven't released when we are going to be on campus.

Yes, I believe parking for nursing is at Duke East which is about 3ish miles away. Yea rent is pricey here but worth it. If you need ideas of good places let me know! And I believe orientation is middle of August. Personally I would come down in June/July to see the area, there is a lot of fun things to do before we have no life

Yeah I came down in January to scope out the area and had so much fun. But yeah I am definitely open to all suggestions!!!

3 years of no life... Still hasn't sunk in yet.

I also got in and will be starting fall 2016!! I Am from Chicago so I do not really know the area as well. So I will be posting questions once I start looking into where to live. Can't wait to meet everyone!
