Hi cthompson! I applied as well but haven't heard back yet for an actual interview. I did receive an email a couple weeks ago asking for me to contact them to schedule an interview asap and then received an email saying that was sent out by mistake I don't really understand how that happened but I guess it is what it is. Have you heard back yet? I'm expecting a rejection letter at this point seeing how I've not received any other emails about being selected for an interview. Anyhow good luck to you!

I have received my confirmation email for an interview a few weeks ago. Im scheduled for for 1/15. Anyone else going or have heard anything about the interview process. My understanding is that they are asking more of get to know you questions.

I actually got accepted to start in 2016!!! I interviewed on a Friday at the end of October for early decision and heard back the following Monday. Anyone else hear back???
Congrats and good luck Allenaa2016! Do you mind me asking what your stats are? Just curious, because although mine weren't bad I was a little intimidated to apply
That is a big mistake people make- they count themselves out. A lot of the time the pool is already narrowed due to people not applying initially. But I had a 3.44 GPA, 307 GRE, CCRN, a year in Cardiac Surgery ICU, and 6 months before that in VICU Stepdown. I graduated with my BSN in 2013 from a university where I played 4 years of a collegiate sport. You walk out of the interview feeling like you bombed it. So you don't really know lol I applied VCU as well, and got into both, but chose Duke.
True. The interview is even more daunting I'm sure! Did they ask a lot of in depth clinical questions? Guess I'm just worried I won't get any interviews. I've only applied to 3 schools but if I don't have any luck this year, there's always next year. I may retake the GRE. I got a 296 and 4 on the writing but I know most schools want to see a 300. My GPA is a 3.48 and I'm scheduled to take the CCRN next month. Anyhow thanks for sharing and congrats again because getting into Duke is awesome!
How soon after the interview do they let you know?

You are at a huge disadvantage without CCRN and a sub-300 GRE, and that goes for any school. Almost every candidate you're up against at least meets those criteria. I would retake the GRE for sure, but perhaps focus on that after you complete your CCRN.
allenaa2016, first and foremost congrats on getting in! I hope we are classmates next year, I have an interview coming up on this Friday. Do you have any tips or recommendations of things to study in the next few days or how to best prepare? I did try to PM you but have not posted enough to do so. I sincerely thank you for any advice and hope we are in classes together next fall :)
Thanks Phriz, I definitely plan to!
