Just seeing this today for the first time. Not sure if you check your Duke email regularly, but a group has been created. Check your email for instructions on how to find it.

I attended the on-campus experience twice before applying. It definitely got me excited about the profession and gave me good insight on what kind of applicant Duke was looking for. I don't think that attending automatically gives you brownie points or anything but it's definitely beneficial to figuring out what to include in your application package.

Working on my application for submission, but it seems that the personal statement topics are after submission, and after doing some research that there are 6, 1 page essays. I’m taking my GRE on Sept 4 and applications have to be in October 1. I was really hoping to work on my essays while I wait for my test date. Do you think it would be political suicide if I asked if I could have the topics to start working on my essays?? I want to make sure I have adequate time to answer everything and edit it before submitting. I’m also a planner and like to have things done before the last minute...

They may have overhauled the app since last year, but there were only three essay topics when I applied. I was also able to add documents after submitting the main application, if I recall correctly. It wouldn't hurt to contact Marcia Hunter, the program coordinator, with your questions. She's super helpful. Good luck!

Congratulations on your interview! Each interview day has about 15-20 prospective students. It's an exciting and intense day. Afterward, I encourage you not to ruminate over how you did or what you should have said or didn't say. Be yourself, have a great time, and enjoy the experience. Full disclosure, I felt pretty awful on the drive home after my interview and thought, "Well I'd better figure out which programs I'm going to apply to next year..." very soon after, I got an acceptance email (which totally blew my mind - I really beat myself up over how I interviewed!). Hope to see you around campus!
Hey all! I was just offered an interview for Duke's CRNA program. I had a few questions and was hoping someone could help to guide me in the right direction. Does anyone know how many they interview? Style of interview? Things that I should specifically be asking about at the end? Thanks in advance!
