  1. Congratulations on your interview! Each interview day has about 15-20 prospective students. It's an exciting and intense day. Afterward, I encourage you not to ruminate over how you did or what you should have said or didn't say. Be yourself, have a great time, and enjoy the experience. Full disclosure, I felt pretty awful on the drive home after my interview and thought, "Well I'd better figure out which programs I'm going to apply to next year..." very soon after, I got an acceptance email (which totally blew my mind - I really beat myself up over how I interviewed!). Hope to see you around campus!
  2. They may have overhauled the app since last year, but there were only three essay topics when I applied. I was also able to add documents after submitting the main application, if I recall correctly. It wouldn't hurt to contact Marcia Hunter, the program coordinator, with your questions. She's super helpful. Good luck!
  3. Just seeing this today for the first time. Not sure if you check your Duke email regularly, but a group has been created. Check your email for instructions on how to find it.
  4. Congratulations on getting through school and getting into ICU! I got my CCRN about a year and a half before I applied. I took a 6000-level biochemistry (for pre-med/pre-pharm) class the summer before applying because it had been a very long time since I took a science course (I'm talkin' over a decade). Every school has different requirements for their prospective students, and several don't require you to take chemistry courses prior to applying. You'll just have to search around to see which CRNA programs fit you best and find out what requirements they have. Dr. Morgan mentioned at an info session that you should consider updating your sciences only if it is a high-level course *and* you can earn an A. It demonstrates your ability to succeed in graduate school. Good luck!
  5. Congratulations! Can't wait to meet you, too!
  6. Nice! Congratulations! I did, too. I confirmed acceptance. Are you interviewing for other programs or are you choosing Duke?
  7. I'll be the first to say it: I felt pretty humbled by the interview. I was very grateful for the chance to interview at all, but, man...
  8. Florida. How about you?
  9. I had the same issue.
  10. I got the email from Marcia today! I left a voicemail so I haven't scheduled the interview yet. Looking forward to it.
  11. I went to an in-person information session and also joined the web information session over the Summer, but I don't remember if they discussed having more than one interview day. Does anyone know if November 3rd is the only interview day?
  12. That's awesome! Congratulations! I hope it goes well for you. When did you apply and how long did it take you to hear back?
  13. I also applied, but I applied very near the deadline so I don't expect to hear anything for a bit. When did you submit?
