wow, we have an ECMO specialist with RN at bedside for ECMO pt. Scary for me to imagine being the only RN running the show, especially on night shifts.
I have not taken CMC, it seems to be very broad. I think the hemodynamic part is very helpful to study, but for ICU nurse, the non-ICU medications are not things you deal with regularly.
I think milrpinone has less adverse effects than dobutamine. If a pt is stable on a low dose milrinone, that pt may be able to stay on a med-surg floor.
