I attended the on-campus experience twice before applying. It definitely got me excited about the profession and gave me good insight on what kind of applicant Duke was looking for. I don't think that attending automatically gives you brownie points or anything but it's definitely beneficial to figuring out what to include in your application package.

I did take the GRE! I scored a 320. I will be attending Duke in the Fall.

Hey! So my stats were practically identical to yours. I started out as a new grad in the Neonatal ICU and moved to Pediatric Cardiac ICU after a year and nine months. My GPA was 3.4 overall but my nursing GPA was a 3.9 and science was a 3.7. I got into the first and only school I applied to. Alot of people will tell you that you should get adult experience or take classes to boost your GPA. I just want to let you know that it absolutely is possible to get in with your stats.

Duke is the only place I've ever applied. I'll be accepting the offer.

My application was submitted October 6th and Marcia just emailed me this morning to set up an interview date. She made it sound like the dates were November 13th, 14th and 15th.

I applied but also very close to the deadline so I have not heard anything back yet.
