Congrats poodle! That is great news for you, even though it seems a bit disorganized you can now breathe a sigh of relief! :yelclap: And thanks to both of you for keeping us in the loop, you have no idea how much it helps calm my nerves knowing that a few are going to say no!

I'm doing okay... I feel like the weeks are just flying by! Can't believe April 2nd is almost upon us, although I'm sure we won't hear something until the 9th. I am telling myself I will be waitlisted and waiting for the whole summer - don't want to get my hopes up! Ha.

And... the FB group is at 36. Praying, praying, praying it doesn't go above 45 by Monday! Aaahhh!

How is everybody else doing? Any other lurkers out there?

This is a rando question for people in the FB group - is the group really active? (i.e. is everybody chatty and friendly?) Just wondering how the overall vibe is so far, ha ha.

Dying in anticipation! I just want to know already. It sucks that they let them have a month and a half to decide because then the second rounders have sooooo long to wait till the next round! But hopefully we all get good news soon! Maybe they will tell us before Easter! Around the 5-6? That would be nice. Trying not to get my hopes up but really hoping I get a happy email!

@moggsy...the FB group is not super-active, mostly people saying hi when they join, other comments are about about finding housing/roommates mostly. Slowly getting a bit more active but still not consistently even one new post/day.

And also - it's two business days before the acceptance deadline, and 36 people is only half (or maybe less) of their targeted cohort size. I think there are good hopes for second-rounders, and I hope you get good news soon.

Hey everyone, I was recently accepted to the Duke program. I just want to wish everyone good luck that is still waiting to hear from Duke. And I can't wait to meet all of you that are already planning to attend in the fall :)

So guys... what are we thinking? First round over at 37-ish people (assuming some people don't have FB so don't join)? Hearing something this week? Not hearing anything until the 9th?

The sad thing is I'm dying to hear something and that something could very well be to spend the next 4 months waiting MORE... aaahhh!

I'm really hoping we don't have to wait until Monday to hear...does anyone have any reason to email her and ask? If the fb group is any indication, it seems they will definitely be making offers to at least 20 people from the 2nd round, possibly even more depending how many they actually want in the cohort.

I emailed today and got this response: "We will either communicate out to the second round pool later this week or on Monday. We are waiting to receive word from our Program Director." So hopefully the Director gets a move on! Haha. Seriously hoping for some news before Monday!
