Dual Degree Molloy Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello there! Just wanted to see if there was anyone that had applied to Molloy College's Dual Degree program for the fall 2017 and what their current status is? I have applied, submitted my transcripts, and took both placement tests last week.

Hi,

It depends. They have an NP program for people that are already an RN.

The two year program for people with a bachelors will only give you another bachelors degree. Not a masters.

And if you were speaking to me I don't really have any advice on the actual program. Good luck!

Hi @MellyLelly. If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA when you applied? I have a 3.2 GPA and planning to apply for Spring 2018. Do you think I have a chance of being accepted?

Hi @trav91 my gpa was 3.3. I think you should deff give it a shot. I don't remember what their minimum requirements are for a gpa but they take a lot of applicants in. I would apply as soon as possible because I noticed in the beginning its a smaller amount of applicants that they tend to accept most of them in. Once the applications start picking up speed and pouring in, then they get more picky. So I'd send in my app soon if I were you.

Thank you very much @MellyLelly.

If you don't mind me asking, did you eventually attend Molloy or another school? If not, which one? Di you get enough student loans to cover your tuition? this is one of my major concern.

Yes I decided to stick with Molloy. I haven't gotten enough student loans so I picked up a second job to pay off a few debts quicker and to cover my fall tuition. So hopefully I should be fine for the spring to take out loans.
