Dual Degree Molloy Fall 2017

Hello there! Just wanted to see if there was anyone that had applied to Molloy College's Dual Degree program for the fall 2017 and what their current status is? I have applied, submitted my transcripts, and took both placement tests last week.

Anyone else waiting on a decision letter? I took the placement tests about a month ago and they keep telling me my application is still under evaluation every time I call. Getting quite impatient

Does anyone know where we can get the practice questions? I applied online this morning and will be mailing the application fee and essay later this week.

I was accepted to NYU's accelerated nursing program but the tuition is too expensive, which is why I'm applying to Molloy last minute. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Melly how do u feel you did on the reading part to come close to passing? I answered all 100 definition questions and feel I did good. The reading comprehension was more difficult, I answered everything and definetly got some right but I'm not sure how I did. Did you feel you did very well after you left? I'm so nervous. I'm pretty sure I got 19 out of 20 right on math.

Did really really well on the reading and think I passed the math too. Hopefully I'll start with you guys this fall! Mamato I would call admissions, it sounds like a lot of people have already received the letter. I'm not sure when they need it by but congrats on getting accepted!

So I'm having some issues with finding loans to cover my tuition. I only got 12,500 for the year from federal loans so that leaves me with minimum a gap of 20k not including the summer and winter sessions we have to take to finish on time. I'm actually really stressed because I decided to try my luck and apply for one today. And got declined. So now it's safe to say I'm in panic mode. Advice? Tips? Help? :(

I'm sorry I don't really know much about loans. Are you currently working? Do you think you could explain your situation to the nursing department? I would say maybe work for another semester and save as much as you can and see if they'll keep you as accepted for the spring?

@Gubba Yes I am currently working. It just really sucks if I have to wait a whole other semester because that puts me back from when I anticipated to be done. And the Financial aid office isn't much help for dual degree students, we get no financial assistance any more so it's out of their hands.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do normal banks like Wells Fargo/Chase give student loans? I just got my acceptance today. Really hope everything works out, keep us posted.

Hi! I am interested in the Molloy program. Once you graduate, are you considered an NP or an RN with a Master's?
