In California DSD is an abbreviation for Director of Staff Development. Thank goodness I was able to find a Director of Staff Development Certificate course on line through Joshua Tree Private School for only $99. In California one of the requirements to be a Director of Staff Development (DSD) in a skilled nursing facility is to complete a 24 hour continuing education course in Planning, Implementing & Evaluation of educational courses in nursing.

Sounds like a "Train-the-Trainer" course that used to be required for certification of trainers for certified nurse aide (CNA) training.
