I took nclex on January 2nd and noticed this as well. In school, as well as the ATI live review, we were assured both names would be given, and this is how test questions were structured. I can understand not giving both names for some drugs (I.e. being provided either Coumadin or warfarin). However, the generic-only questions I got were extremely obscure drugs I had never heard of before, and of course you can't figure it out with a portion of the word (I.e. "olol"in metoprolol so you know it's a beta blocker). I passed with 75 questions though so I assume I guessed well :-\

In school as well as out ATI review, we were taught that NCLEX would provide both the brand and generic names on the test. However, I took the test this morning and had several questions where only the generic name was provided. WHAT?? Has anyone else been confused by this?
