  7. Hi allnurses, I'm so happy right now words can not explain the joy I feel. I kept it a secret about when I was going to take the NCLEX because I didn't want all the pressure of counting on passing incase things didn't go as planned. Anyway, before I go into details about the good news I need to share my story prior to all this because this could help someone out that in the same situation I'm in or just need encouragement to keep pressing on! Before I started nursing school I had gone through a lot my kids father pasted away and I was pregnant with my second child. I was puzzled about what I was going to do next a single mother; hello can things get any harder. Least did I know that was only the beginning of something great. Nursing school was a struggle within itself and the stress I had was unbelieveable. I dealt with a teacher who thought I wasnt going to make it out of her class but I did! God was with me every step of the way giving me strength to keep pushing. Looking at my babies and knowing I want so much for them (stablity). Then naive girls who felt coming to class was more about bullying people then gaining education to better their lives (ugh people like that I can't stand). I cried so much feeling like I wasn't gone to make it totally frustrated. I overcame them suckers lol passed my exit with a high score, man god is amazing I'm telling you. I prayed alot and learned to become closer to him and letting him fight my battles brings PEACE! Now that awesome day Jan. 21st, 2014 I prayed like crazy and studied my butt off to prepare for this day. I went in confident and surprisingly not scared yea I know that sounds crazy but I figured I like the feeling of peace than anxiety. Which that was one of my big problems lol. The computer shut off at 127, when it went pass 85 I figured hey I just still have a few more questions to answer I can do this. I actually stopped in the middle of the exam and said, "Kiara Lpn January 21st, 2014". Took a breath and finished, I had a good test actually I had like 5-6 SATA and drag in order, 3 PICTURE Qs, and the rest was really precautions. I tried to hold out on the pearson vue trick but I couldn't help myself I tried it after the 1st hour and got the GOOD-POP UP. HOORAY I'm so happy OMG I'm officially a nurse, feels so good to say it and to top it off I got the definite yes on MQA stating pass . For everybody else in the waiting stage do not be afraid you can do this! Claim it/believe it rooting for everyone's success. GOOD LUCK!!!! Also thank you to this forum for all the information I came across from past and recent test takers. You all helped me so much especially with conquering my fear. Finding this discussion board brought light to my NCLEX blindness helping me sort out the unknown and for that I'm forever thankful.
  8. thank you lol. I'm still in disbelief feels so weird not having to study now yay:roflmao:
  9. you can do that's right just breathe! remember the battle is not yours its gods you keeping doing all that you are studying and give him the upmost praise. I had to take this same advice know that god is there.... Praying for success for you
  10. I also took the nclex this morning and I received both generic/brand, then I also got just the generic name. so I guess you just don't know til you get there.
  11. Hi, everyone I know there's a lot of questions about the pearson vue trick. Can you please tell me is this the good pop up? Our records indicate that you have recently took the exam something like that and to call the board of nursing for further assistance? Thanks for the help.
  12. You right even with all the studying I still wonder if I'm retaining anything; will I forget, I don't know my mind is every where LOL. This not knowing feeling is mind boggling.... What you've worked so hard for so close you can almost taste it!!!! Do ya'll feel me ugh... and thanks ash.RN. I'll make sure I go over them.
  13. My time is coming soon, with that being said I've been studying for 1 month and 7 days to be exact. I'm only sticking with 2 books which are Saunders nclex-pn 4th edition (content) and Kaplan nclex-pn 2013-2014 (strategies). For a whole month I study nothing but saunders, then i got to a point where I needed something to help me define my questions more (kaplan). I mean before I got Kaplan on Saunders I would read the content and answer the questions. I was and still am getting a good amount right than wrong and still reading rationales for all my answers. Now I'm adding to my study doing more questions (Saunders CD 100-200/day) since it is getting close. Oh the most important part with all the studying my cup of FAITH. You know though I'm not scared, I'm still nervous do to the anticipation of not knowing what to expect and how NCLEX is going to be. Even though I've done all the research I can to get as much info as I could STILL IT'S THE DON'T KNOW!!! Nclex can ask you anything it's so many areas of nursing . Guess you can't study everything just study as much as you can and do your best?! ALL FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED THANKS.
  14. Congrats , thank you for the encouragement!
  15. I didn't think you were rambling LOL I can tell your freaking out though. Really ALDsn14 we all were and are feeling the same as you do now. It's going to always be that way when your starting a new part of your life soon and you don't know what to expect. I mean I'm anxious/Nervous because I'm going to be an official nurse soon. I freaking out if I'm going to do everything right timely manner (what if I forget something???) so its normal and your going to be a dawg on GOOD nurse!!! Oh also its actually good you didn't work as a CNA because your mind is able to be geared up exactly like a nurse instead of having to throw out the aide thinking and trying to transition your thinking process. Congrats you almost done!
