Hi All,
I was wondering if any of you use pre-printed drug cards for clinicals. We just got permission this term to use them. Prior to this, we had to make our own each night. I was looking at Barnes and Noble, and the only brand I can find are Mosby. Does anyone have any experience with these or another brand? Are they worth it?
Thanks!

What, rather than spend an hour per card? Heck, yeah, they're worth it!
We were supposed to be able to use them, all got them, and then each instructor decided they still wanted them hand-written.
Oy. What a pain in the patoot!

Davis drug guide has a set of cards. They look just like the book. Pick whichever you are comfortable with.

INSTEAD OF SPENDING MORE MONEY B/C YOU KNOW ALL NURSING STUDENTS ARE LOADED HAHAHAHA IF YOUR DRUG BOOK HAS A DISC LOOK UP THE DRUG AND PRINT IT ON CARD STOCK WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BUY THE PRE-MADE CARDS BUT THE INSTRUCTORS LIKE FOR US TO TYPE THEM SO WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW WON'T HURT THEM COPY AND PASTE AWAY:idea:

What possible reason could an instructor have to not allow you to use drug cards?
I dont see how it can do anything but help, and I have to work really hard to have decent handwriting so the cards are a godsend for me.

we were told that we needed to do them so the information about each drug stuck better. that is why we couldn't use the pre-printed cards.

Have to share the good deal my dad found yesterday at the thrift store for me--a 2005 full deck of Mosby drug cards for 98 cents!

We have to make our own, but we have a template if we want to do it on the computer instead of writing them out.
