Drexel vs. Thomas Jefferson U

Published

Hello all, I'm new to the allnurses forum but honestly I've been peeping it for a while...any school nursing question I have no matter how obscure I always seem to find a thread about it on here so you guys are awesome. So likely within the next year (God-willing!) I'll be applying to nursing schools in the Philadelphia area. I'm 27 years old and back to school! I'm trying to get all my nursing pre-reqs out of the way at CCP so I can transfer somewhere "clinically ready". My two top choices are between Drexel and TJU. I really loved the idea of Drexel's co-op programs...I wanted to get into the 2 year or 3 year program (ideally 2 though because through all this I'm going to have to either quit or go part time at my job which realistically I can only afford to do for so long) I've heard wonderful things about their co-ops all across the board...however I've heard more bad about Drexel than good. A few people have warned me about their strict HESI expectations which is concerning and the overall attitude of the teaching staff and administration which sounds like it leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the threads I've read about these things are from 5-6 years ago and was wondering if anything has changed or anyone is a recent co-op grad. The little I've heard about TJU has been good but was also wondering if anyone could give me some objective feed back on their program as well. Thanks in advance!!!
