Drexel University Online MSN Programs

I just found out that I got accepted into their Psych-NP online program for fall. Not sure what to expect at this point either..........if you hear anything.....let me know :)

Athena,

I just found out that I was accepted to their ACNP program. I am going to decline my acceptance though. I was accepted to another program that arranges most of your clinicals and that is one thing about Drexel that had me concerned. However, I really wanted to do the Drexel program because the didactics are online and the cost is almost half of what I will be paying to attend the other program that I chose. Good luck to you.

Just got accepted to the Psych NP program for this fall too. Waiting for the admission packet to come in so that I can find out all the specifics. A few of my coworkers are getting their MSN from there and they have great things to say about it.

Hi there:

Medic.....good luck to you as well!! I am going to do Drexel because I really want the NP in psych and not a CNS, and Drexel is one of the only programs that offers that online. At some point, I am also toying with the idea of a post masters certificate in either acute care or ANP.....so I will already have the core classes necessary (which any CNS program in my location does not offer). I can see your concern about clinicals........I, too, am considering this but am hoping that since I have been "networking" around here, it won't be too much of a problem.

Binkles, what class/classes do you plan on taking this quarter? Maybe we will meet in an online class! :)

I am planning on taking Biostats and N500 and have already registered for same. As long as you have your student ID # and have sent back the matriculation form, you should be able to register now. Some of the 1st quarter classes are already full such as N502, so I would probably try to register asap.

I believe that Drexel has eliminated their post-master's ACNP program.

It's been over 2 years since the last post. What are your thoughts on the NP program now that you are halfway done (or done)? Any input would help! Thanks!

Wow! Congratulations! I have applied for Spring 2013. When do you start? I'm supposed to know by mid July. I hear competition is pretty tight so good job! Are you going to attend? I get a little nervous about grad school, working FT, and juggling life. What are your plans? Feel free to PM me. I really want to connect with another PMHNP student. Keep me posted!
