Drexel online fnp msn 2018

Nursing Students NP Students

I have being searching for topics on ONLINE MSN FNP 2018 and I could not find any. I decided to open a topic.

How is the program like? I currently do not have anyone in the program and I just need more information on how it runs. I would really appreciate any and all input.

PS. I applied and I am still waiting to hear back.

How are the core classes so far?

@Gbest529,

Good so far! I'm in my forth quarter so I'm taking Advanced Patho now and finally feel like I'm in the meat of the program. The last few quarters were all general MSN classes (ethics, research, etc) and they were all super writing focused (Patho is the first class I've had an actual exam in), but they were interesting enough. I don't think you're going to avoid those types of classes in any program, but at least they cram them all into the first year so once you're done with them, you're done. The research classes were a bit brutal to be honest, just because of the amount of writing involved (and I personally hate writing), but I got through it ok. I've been very happy in Patho so far, our professor provides Powerpoints and a lot of direction when it comes to studying for the exams, which I appreciate since coworkers of mine in other programs are basically just handed the book and told to teach themselves. Every professor I've encountered so far has been a fair grader and very reachable for questions and concerns.

Do the online classes require you to be online at the times specified for each section? I know there are 1 or 2 days they say are mandatory, but not sure about the weekly requirement.

That is so reassuring to hear!! I just gotta tough it out for that first year of "fluff". You are right though, all of the programs I've looked into, the curriculum is very similar so it is unavoidable. Thanks for taking your time out and responding back. I truly appreciate it! Keep in touch.

I'm going to be starting the Pediatric Dual Primary/Acute Care Program this fall also! I've been trying to search for others starting this fall, and you are the first I've seen! Have you registered already?

Yes! I'm section 901 for NURS 500 and 903 for NURS 502. Do you live close to or are you out of state? I grew up outside Philadelphia and at one point worked at CHOP but live in NC now. I know one previous co worker of mine who is also in our cohort :). Just looking to connect with people so we can help each other out through this process!!!

I'm in Atlanta. I'll check and see what sections I'm in, I don't know off of the top of my head. Do you think all of our books are actually required?

Hello Everyone

I am new here. I am still researching about . I am currently completing my FNP at Chamberlain but looking into Post-Psych NP. Does anyone know how much it cost per clinical course? Any in the Psych program? How are the professors and overall program? Please any infos will help. Thanks in advance.

Tuition rates are available on the website. For 2018-2019 it's $1265/credit. They offer tuition discounts for a decent number of employers though, so something to look in to! I wound up randomly being eligible for a 25% tuition discount because of where my dad is employed.

I'm one year into my NP program but I'm not psych so I can't speak to the professors in those clinical courses. I've been very happy with my experience so far though.

Thank you for responding to me. With an experience with psych patient, I want to expand more and knowing that FNP is saturated is getting tough for job search. Psych is so demanding

Hi all

So glad to have found a thread with students. I am also starting the Peds Primary NP program this fall. Can we possibly start a facebook group if everyone is interested. I am excited and nervous about this journey.

We should definitely start a FB group! I just made one for the pediatric programs starting this fall. Just search Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Students 2018 :)
