Drexel ACE Spring 2017

Published

Hey,

The priority deadline is today, but there is not even an option to select for the Spring cohort. Only 2016 Fall is available..

Hey guys - I sent a help desk request to AllNurses to enable private messaging (apparently you can't get it until you post here a certain amount of times) I am super eager to connect with other Drexel Spring 2017 accepted students and get the ball rolling. I'm going to risk posting my personal email address here - [email protected] - please reach out to me if you want to talk about the program/housing/etc!

AllNurses.com - sorry if this is against policy to post personal info but as of now I am not enabled to privately message another user.

Hopefully hear from some of you and we can get a group thread going. I've looked on Facebook for a group and there isn't one yet (that I've found).

I got my acceptance today! Hope you hear back soon!

congrats!

Congratulations!!

Congrats to everyone accepted for the spring! I just applied for the fall 2017 and am really nervous. Drexel is my top choice and I really want to get in! I am a recent grad from Temple with BS in Kinesiology

cGPA: 3.04

last 60 credits: 3.47-3.53

Pre req Gpa: 3.107 (I got a C in Anatomy 1)

I have 300 hours of working as an ophthalmologist medical assistant and have been working part time as a pharmacy technician for over three years.

I really hope I get in. Any insight/recommendations? Has anyone else applied for the fall 2017 ACE 11 month program?

tue61644,

It looks like you meet their requirements and I'm under the impression that they do look at your previous experience, so I'm sure the medical assistant experience helps you a lot. You're also applying very early, so all good stuff.

The only thing I could see happening is if they accept you, they might request that you retake any pre-reqs that they want a better grade in, but I'm not 100% sure how they decide all of that.

thank you!! Crossing my fingers. Do you think I should contact Fran and let her know about my willingness to retake the pre-req classes, or should I just wait and see what their decision is?

You can, I've found her very helpful before. I was going to submit my app back in may, but contacted her first because I had 3 outstanding pre-reqs, and she was the one who advised me to wait to submit mine after I completed a couple. I had to wait until just a few weeks ago, but I got in, so it couldn't hurt. She might have some good insight that you won't get from this thread.

thank you for your help! Also, which cohort did you apply for? The one that starts in march or the next sepetember?

Awesome ! Congrats!! How long did it take?? I still haven't received a decision yet. What were your stats if you don't mind me asking? Gpa etc.
