Drexel ACE Nursing Program Spring 2021

Hey, guys! I looked for a thread for Spring 2021 ACE admission at Drexel University but couldn't find one, so I figured I'd start one here. The priority deadline is approaching quickly so I thought this could be a good place for everyone to keep up to date on what the school needs and when people are hearing back (especially with things being so up in the air in our world right now). Has anyone else completed their application already?

Specializes in Pre-Nursing.

Where did you guys send your transcripts? The drexel website for some reason said to send them to "Drexel University Online" but I don't think thats correct. My school uses Parchment and several options appear when I type in Drexel.

two out of 3 of my schools only send hard copy transcripts but on their site, Drexel says they aren’t accepting hardcopies right now but you can send unofficial transcripts to [email protected] then later on when the school opens up I guess, send the official ones.

Hey all! I am looking at ABSN programs and interested in applying to Drexel. Just curious and if anyone who has been accepted is willing to share their GPA, previous degree, volunteer work, etc. or what you have heard that they really look for in an applicant. Thanks guys!

Hi! I had a GPA less than a 3.0 for my bachelors degree but I had around a 3.5 in the last 60 credits. Also all A's in prerequisites except for Chemistry in which I had a B. I know people with lower grades on their prerequisites who have still gotten in. I only have volunteer work for a year during undergrad & it wasn't in a hospital setting. I think they're not too strict with it!

@Zeeayy17 thanks for the response! I graduated my undergrad with 3.0 on the dot (biochem and minor in math) and I am going to be doing a year of community service with americorps in a inner city area this coming year and looking to volunteer in a hospital during that time, so hope it’s enough!

Hi everyone! update: I was accepted to the program a couple days ago!! I'm so excited. I'm still thinking about which ABSN program I want to go to but I'm so grateful to have been accepted to Drexel

CONGRATS @nadia96!! Do you mind sharing when you submitted your application? I'm curious about how long the wait time is to here back at this point. I submitted mine for Spring 2021 around last Wed or Thurs - still waiting for the transcripts to show that they've been received on my Drexel discover page. I'm guessing around a few weeks based on what else I've read?

Thank you!! I applied May 29, I sent in my physical transcripts but I saw the part that said they won't be able to accept physical ones because they're not on campus and that I can email my unofficial transcripts. I emailed them June 1 and I waited 2 weeks for them to update it on the site but they never did? So I emailed them again with my transcripts June 15 and they updated them June 24. I got my acceptance July 15, 3 weeks from when they received my transcripts.

Awesome - thanks for the info! I saw my online profile switched to "transcripts received" today so just time to be patient and wait it out :) Best of luck in the program!
