Drexel ACE Nursing Program Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey, guys! I looked for a thread for Spring 2021 ACE admission at University but couldn't find one, so I figured I'd start one here. The priority deadline is approaching quickly so I thought this could be a good place for everyone to keep up to date on what the school needs and when people are hearing back (especially with things being so up in the air in our world right now). Has anyone else completed their application already?

Hi! Does anyone know if we have to complete all prerequisites before applying? I have 3 classes missing that I plan on taking on Portage and was wondering if I can just submit my application now with my transcripts from my university that have all my other completed prereqs.

It just depends on what the three classes are. The more pre-reqs taken at the time of application, the more competitive you are. And three out of four of the sciences have to be finished. Which classes are you still working on?

Good luck!! Hopefully you hear back from one of them and you don't have to worry about applying through another cycle. Honestly, NYU is taking their time! Which one of your schools is your top choice?

I'm not sure. I'm originally from California and that program is only 45K so I wouldn't mind going there. is more expensive but definitely cheaper than NYU but it only being 11 months is kinda crazy. I heard it's pretty intense. NYU is an amazing school but its like more than 100K anndddd I missed the CSS deadline so I probably won't get any scholarships. It all just depends on where and if I get accepted LOL

The only science class I’m missing is Microbiology. I have finished all the other 3 science prereqs. The other two classes missing are nutrition and developmental psych.

Ooh, the cheaper the better, definitely. Especially if you're already out in California and don't have to add a move into it! NYU is a great school but holy crap the price tag is rough to think about. Hopefully you get some options with schools!

You SHOULD be fine to apply now then according to what they want/are looking at. If for some reason they want more classes finished, they'll just tell you that.

So I actually live in NJ now but I moved here like a year ago. If I go to NYU I won't have to move out but for /California I would. What school are you considering?

Ooooh got it. Still, the price for the Cali school is nice compared to $100,000 for NYU. But moving, especially now with the pandemic, is so stressful to think about. I think I'm going to go with . Even if I get into NYU, as much as I am in love with the school and don't want to leave NYC, 11 months and half the price is almost too good to pass up for me. Plus, a year in a new city would be fun. Almost hoping NYU doesn't accept me at this point so that I don't have to make the decision myself LOL

Hi! Have you confirmed that will accept classes taken through portage? I feel like I read on one of the Drexel forums that they don't accept portage courses, so you may want to double check with them to be safe. If not, they do accept University of Phoenix class credit!

I agree - definitely double check what they'll take! But I took my nutrition through Portage and it wasn't an issue. I'm thinking maybe it's just the sciences that they won't take online?

Hello,

Was the deadline April 15, 2020 for Spring 2021?

I submitted my application this month, I am trying to see how likely it is for me to be accepted.

Priority Deadline was 4/15 but they accept on rolling admissions until they're full, usually through January based on past cohorts.

OK, thank you. Do you know when the program starts?
