Drexel ACE Fall 2020

Hello everyone! I've been hoping to connect with others looking to apply to the ACE program for the Fall 2020 term. I'm wondering how many completed pre-reqs others are applying with? Are you applying to any other schools as well?

I asked their admissions department, and they said they are still reviewing admissions for this Summer and will continue to until the cohort is full. They do not know when the cohort will be full but it is happening quickly. They told me that If I do end up sending an application for Summer 2020 cohort and it is full, they'll tell me to apply for Spring 2021 instead.

Crazy that they're accepting for Spring 2021 already! I think that may a better and more realistic option for me

Dang, if I'd known they might still be accepting for this Fall, I would have applied for that semester!!

But I got accepted Wednesday for Spring and honestly, with everything crazy right now, it's nice to know I've got a year to worry about moving and everything, hopefully the world will be a little more stable by then LOL Maybe I'll see you in the Spring!

Tbh they will deny your application if you don’t have the A&P sequence completed. I would wait till that’s done then apply.

I originally applied for Spring 2020 but I didn’t have enough science courses completed. They denied my application. I did end up getting accepted for Fall 2020 though.

That was probably for the better tbh. Congratulations to you! How long did it take for you to hear back?

Yeah I think everything worked out how it was supposed to. I had my application complete 3/23 but they didn't start going over applications until the deadline, 4/15. They reached out on the 27th for an additional document and then I had my acceptance the 29th! So all in all it was pretty darn fast.

I'm so annoyed. My application has been in for about 2 months now..maybe more. They received my final transcript 2 weeks before Philly got locked down from covid. They just sent me an email that one of the transcripts got cut off and will need to be re-sent. I can't believe they waited so long to take a glance. And, I'm sure the school that I need to have re-send the transcript from is closed. So I probably can't even get them to resend it for several months. At this point I plan to shift to Spring at the earliest and I figure that is much safer as covid will continue to be a problem. My other concern though is whether there will be any jobs. The economy downturn could be bad for new nurses, and many retired nurses rejoined the industry and might find that they want to stay put. So I feel hesitant now. Pffff. Sigh. I don't know what to do anymore.

I am sorry this happened to you. Do you think you could ask your school to send it electronically? I told mine electronic was the only option as most offices are closed and not accepting any paper copies. They should be understanding since all of this has been out of our control.

I am considering the Spring term too.

Yes I asked them to send it electronically the first time and they said their policy is only to send by mail. But I don't even think the office is open right now. All schools seem to be closed in NJ. At this point I figure I'm applying for Spring and will have to wait until the school reopens. I guess I should be more annoyed with the school that sent it cut off LOL. ? GAH

That sucks smh. I thought more schools would be accomodating with this/do it remotely. Good luck though!

Yah! I was surprised I didn’t get in I won’t lie but I ended up getting into urochester which I thought I had no chances so everything works out. Have you set on ? I know you were working on NYU too. I didn’t hear from them so time to move on

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. How long did they take to get back to you? CONGRATULATIONS on urochester, though! I'm very set on , just signed a lease for an apartment in Philly (since my lease in NYC is up this Summer anyway). They accepted me for the Spring but I'm waiting to see if they'll accept me into the Fall cohort instead. Fingers crossed. CONGRATS again on your acceptance!
