My new supervisor position requires business dress and a. Scrub jacket. Do any of you also wear your danskos?

Specializes in Nursing Professional Development.

I am in Nursing Professional Development in a hospital setting. I usually wear nice trousers and a decent shirt or sweater to work. I often wear Danskos ... but they are nice-looking Danskos - totally enclosed, colored, etc. I have one pair that are buckled shoes and are bronze in color ... and another pair that are chocolate brown and look like tooled leather. They are not "clinic" shoes and don't look like "nursing shoes."

In the summer, I have Dansko sandals -- but I rarely wear those to work -- and only wear them when I know I am not going to be in patient care areas -- and I wear hosiery with them.

Specializes in CCU, SICU, CVSICU, Precepting & Teaching.

Yes. When I had the teaching gig, I wore Danskos. Not the bright red ones I wear on the unit, but black or brown patent leather.

Specializes in NICU, PICU, Transport, L&D, Hospice.

I don't own a pair.

In fact, I looked them up to insure that I had the correct shoe in mind. LOL

I favor Merrill footware for comfort and function.

Specializes in Nephrology.

I where them.

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

I have a couple pairs of nicer leather danskos in earth tones, and they look just fine with business casual.

"Where" do you "where" them?

I am the OB Director in a hospital, and I wear Danskos quite often, but NOT the typical Professional clogs. I have found several pairs of shoes and heels (not ridiculous high heels but heeled mule/slide-style or closed back) that look really nice but are still Dansko-comfortable. (Sierra Trading Post, 6pm, Zappos, the Walking Company, and Amazon all carry them, I just watch for sales.) Depends on what your role is, whether you're going to be in patient care areas or mainly in an office/off the floor setting.
