Down time

What do you do when your clinic is quiet and you don't have any students ?

Thanks,

Praiser;)

Take a big breath and go to the bathroom, catch up on planning activities and screenings, write nursing care plans and class plans, computer enter data, straighten my desk and files so I can actually find things when I need them, send out referral letters and reminders, actually talk to other adults etc etc. There may be down time from children in the office but never down time from the rest of the job. Still, I love it.

Michigoose,

What's the secret to your enthusiastic outlook ? I think I am just a little tired out or something !

Thanks for your reply,

Praiser :zzzzz

Clean, usually germs are everywhere, catch up on documentation, help the office staff. go to all nurses! catch up on the news there. Catch a potty break, call my hubby. take a well needed and deserved break!

Spider solitaire!!! Just kidding... well, mostly kidding :)

Pyramid Solitaire is fun too.:yeah:

That's when I try and get my documentation done-screenings, etc. Also clean out the folders where I shove notes, PE excuses, etc when I'm too busy to do anything with them.

Also make coffee, visit with the folks down the hall in guidance...

LOVE this job:yeah:
