Published

Hey Guys,

I’m just here to remind Douglas College students who want pursue Nursing and are not yet offered an acceptance for Fall 2021 to apply tomorrow, February 1, 2021 for Winter 2022.

Let us not be worried about our waiting. Instead, let us utilize our time for other productive activities that can better prepare us for our careers ahead.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey guys,

Has anyone got any updates on their application?

Hey everyone! My application was updated to this but I still haven’t received an email so I’m trying not to freak out to much. Anyone else?

Heyy

My friend and I have the same thing on our application and we haven't received any email yet.  But I think that means we are accepted! Let's wait for the email. All previous accepted ppl had 'offer made-outstanding items' on their applications too. Don't worry!! and Congrats!!

I’m trying not to get to excited yet!! But also, CONGRATS! It takes them days to get everything out so if anyone else still hasn’t seen any change just hang in there, it takes time is what she told me.

ps I mentioned earlier there are new pre requisites. I shouldn’t have used that word LOL, because that’s not true. There are new admission requirements. I will attach the email I received below for anyone wondering.

Before it said admission requirements met but if you are accepted it would say offer made.

Mine says. Initial adm. req. complete. Not the offer made. Huhu

Based on my friends experience, they each received their acceptance offer on separate days..

I’m hoping they’re going to send ours soon as I can no longer wait ??

Hopefully. I can’t wait! ???

Hey!

Congrats to everyone that heard back! It's such an exciting feeling. ?

I was hoping I could get some of your opinions on different schools, since I'm having a hard time deciding between schools. I recently got accepted at Langara to start in the fall and I also just got the acceptance from Douglas, which I would be starting in the Winter. If you had to choose between Douglas, Langara, and BCIT, what school would you choose and why? Any input would be helpful! Thanks and congrats to everyone again! ?

Hi

Congrats!!

I would choose the earlier intake - so Langara (?)

but on the other side, I like that Douglas has 6 sem only - so you will have a whole Summer to work and take some rest. Langara has 9 semester which will be more expensive and no rest between the year.

But if you are accepted to BCIT, definitely go BCIT since they have the greatest reputation and 100% rate for getting a job right away after the school. I don't know if this is true or not, but I also heard that BCIT students get paid during their preceptorship. I am not sure tho.

Also. if you don't mind me asking, what is your GPA for based on the requisites for langara??

And people I just got an acceptance email!
