  1. Hi Ana, Yes, you do need to apply to the 2nd year nursing program once you have completed your prerequisites and have been in the academic foundations program. The AF program isn’t the actual nursing program but rather a “pool” for selection to the 2nd year nursing program (which is the actual nursing program offered at Douglas college) The Winter 2022 intake is now closed and qualified students had received a seat offer back in May. However, students that did not get in could possibly get an offer if another accepted student declines the offer or withdraw. The next intake date is in OCTOBER for fall 2022. Please be aware that there are new guidelines that will be in effect and you can view this on Douglas college nursing program website under guidelines. Hope this helps!
  2. LOL I think it would be fall 2024 when we finish all 6 semester ..
  3. Hey congrats!! Yes, facebook group would be a great idea ☺️
  4. Based on my friends experience, they each received their acceptance offer on separate days.. I’m hoping they’re going to send ours soon as I can no longer wait ??
  5. Before it said admission requirements met but if you are accepted it would say offer made. what does yours say? my application hasn’t been updated yet ?
  6. Hey guys, Has anyone got any updates on their application?
  7. Hey!! Nope, mines still the same ? when I emailed ********** last week, she mentioned that she was super busy because apparently she’s in charge of other programs as well.. so hopefully we’ll hear something by early or mid May ☺️
  8. Yess fingers crossed!! ? I am soo nervous and can’t wait to hear back!! Yes totally, I’m not sure how to message here privately but if you want to side message me, I can give you my number ?
  9. Thank you for the update! I finished my prereqs in fall 2019 but my GPA is below 3.30 -.- so hopefully I still get in. Did she also say how long till the results are out since it’s been over 8 weeks now?
  10. I received that update too. But I don’t see my English 12 mark posted yet. Did anyone else get their grades on there?
  11. Yes me too!! so when I applied on Monday, I was only able to see my application for the academic foundations and not the actually BSN program, I contacted the registration and they assured me that there was a system glitch that we should get the BSN application as well. I’m wondering if anyone else had this issue or had and is now viewable on their application summary? I’m freaking out as I don’t want them to not get it since the deadline is past. Also how fast did you get accepted into the academic foundations? ?
  12. Hey we’re you already in the academic foundations when you applied? I finished my last prerequisite in fall 2019 but I didn’t apply to foundations or the program till now. Based on what I read on the admission requirement: Effective Winter 2019 - Those students who are accepted to and complete the Academic Foundations for Potential Nursing Applicants program will receive priority admission to the BSN. Applications will be pooled based on semester of completion of admission requirements. Of the students who completed in the same semester, those students in the Academic Foundation program will receive higher admission priority than those who are in a different program. I wonder when everyone else had their last prerequisites done?
  13. Hey we’re you already in the academic foundations when you applied? I finished my last prerequisite in fall 2019 but I didn’t apply to foundations or the program till now.
  14. Hi guys, So I originally wanted to get into the nursing program at Douglas College but didn't want to wait as their waitlist is almost 2 years long. However, when I decided to take it at BCIT.. I did really bad in my first semester but ended up repeating both courses and getting a B.. This overall brought my GPA to 2.0. Aside from this I have 5 years of health care work paid experience and 3 years of customer service experience.. Do I have a chance of getting into the nursing program at that level of GPA? Whats the lowest GPA applicants has BCIT accepted into their nursing program?
