Douglas College Psychiatric Nursing 2013

Just wondering if anyone out there applied for the fall 2013 intake of psych nursing at douglas college? Or if you were accepted to the previous intake what your preferential score was? I just got mine today and I got a 12/20..Not sure if it will be enough to get me in or not:(

So im #13 on the waitlist and I have/had 12 points. Damn. I guess I was a bit too confident about my chances of getting in first try. Oh well. I wonder how many offers they made.

If we've been waitlisted for this term does this mean we're guaranteed a seat for next term? Anyone know?

And pinkbubbles, if you're reading this - what was the deadline you were given to accept/reject the seat? I'm guessing after this deadline has passed the next round of offers go out...

good to know! So more people should hear in a few weeks then! :)

I also contacted Douglas again to ask if the wait list is applicable for the winter intake too, and they said that it isn't and you would need to re-apply for winter.

quick question: what kind of volunteer experience is qualified as health related?

I work as a receptionist at a long term care facility and they counted that as work experience...generally, anything that involves a hospital/retirement home/shelter/crisis phone line seems to count...

Hey everyone!

For some reason I stopped receiving email notifications about the thread so I thought everyone had stopped talking in the thread! I just got my acceptance letter on April 25! I had given up and stopped checking my application but I guess 12 points was enough:) Anyone else hear any news? I am a 23 year old female and I work in Vancouver as a resident care attendant in group homes.Also my deadline for documents in May 12 so there will probably be another round of acceptances sent out after that.

Concrete gold how many points do you have? There will be People changing their mind or circumstances change and they can't do it anymore so keep checking!
