Hey,

12/20 isn't bad. I know people in previous intakes who have gotten in with as low as 7/20 and 8/20. So don't worry too much!

Thanks! I feel a little bit more hopeful now.. I contacted the college and they told me they will be offering the first seats in March so hopefully not too much more waiting.

Did you apply for the fall 2013 intake at douglas too? Good luck:)

How many point are you expecting? I was expecting to get 13 but

One of my courses wasn't counted

Yes I've also applied for the fall 2013 psyc program! I'm expecting around 11-12 points which I'm hoping is enough :)

Nice! Maybe we will both get in!! I feel like not as many people are going for psych nursing as they are for registered nursing. I've been searching the forums and there is almost nobody talking aboutt psych nursing.

Haha yes that is true actually! I haven't been able to find alot of forums for psych nursing either. If you don't mind my asking how come your going for psyc instead of bsn? By the way, I got my preferential score today and I got a slightly better score than expected so I'm excited

I applied for Sept 2013 too! Did you guys apply for both the diploma and the BSPN?? And when did you send in your application? Mine got finalized at the end of January 2013, so I haven't had my points tallied yet I think I'm getting 11-12 points.

On another forum, a user said they had 8/20 points for Psych nursing and wound up on the waitlist, then got accepted. I'm hoping 11 is enough!

As you can tell...Im quite nervous. After the Sept 2013 intake their selection process will change, and my points will go way down.

Hey concretegold91,

I only applied for the bspn and not the diploma program and I applied at the very end of December so I didn't get my points until yesterday. Hopefully we find out soon if we're in or not. I'm not too patient lol. I think 11 is definitely enough points though!

I was trying to go for BSN at vcc I was doing my pre read but gave up because their waitlist is ridiculous. My next choice was BCIT but it's so competitive I feel like it would be pointless applying. I have over two years experience working as a care aide but it seems like all the applicants all have bachelors degrees so I gave up on that. But after I gave up on BSN I started reading all the course descriptions and turns out I find it way more interesting:) I really hope I get accepted I had my application in since November it's been such a long wait!
