Douglas College Psyc Nursing Program Anyone?

Published

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone who has taken the Psyc Nursing program at Douglas College could give me some tips on what to expect. And, would it be possible to work one day a week (Saturdays)? Or is this program that intense that I should be devoting that Saturday to studying? Any advice or comments would be appreciated!! :D

I have applied for the regular nursing program. However, I assume both Psychiatric and regular applications are reviewed simultaneously.

Yes, it is nice if we can find out the preferential scores or any news.

Have you read any responses posted by other applicants?

I've been reading the CSNA forums and it seems that most people were receiving their acceptance letters or saw a change in status around August for the winter applicants and March for the fall applicants, but some were seeing status changes as early as mid July

As of last week they should have been done calculating the preferential scores with offers being sent out as early as this week. I haven't heard yet for psych nursing but I know atleast on BcSN student has found out (last week) that she is in for January

I got into the regular Nursing program for the Jan intake for Douglas and so did my friend that applied with me. We both got our letters of offer last week and submitted our extra documentation just yesterday.

You should be getting a letter soon as they finished calculating perferential scores long ago. It's a tough wait, but good luck to all of you! :)

Has anyone applied for the Winter 2013 intake for the Psych Nursing Program at Douglas? I applied to both the diploma and the degree program though I already have most of the first year of the degree program finished through academic foundations in nursing.

Anybody else out there waiting to hear?
