Don't go by what the last class said about a test, they may have changed the test.
Electrolytes are tricky and oxygenation can be too. There are things that work opposite of each other, so you really have to know these things. What are the normal levels of electrolytes and what happens when they go high/low? How does that effect the breathing? Both topics are related to acid/base balance. This is a tricky area but one where it pays to know it well.
I say focus on those 3 things and how they hang together. If you have that, you will be in good shape
practice questions, if you're studying and still not doing well, that might be the problem. Use the success book and nclex practice etc...just do as many practice questions as you can and read the rationals. You have to learn how to take the exams...good luck, it's not too late, you can do this :)
Hang in there! I've been where you are. Its really tough because the material and testing is way
different than what you're use to. Lots of critical thinking.
Here is a book that helped me tremendously with questions. It has a lot of fundamentals content
questions. It actually helped me survive fundamentals. I hope it helps you!

So I am in fundamentals of nursing. Passing in my school is a 70. On my first exam I got a 76 and on my second one I got a 60. Right now I feel like I wontt even be able to pass the course. I still have two more exams and the final is for 40% so it could be a big game changer. Anyways, I feel that on this third test there is no way that I will be able to pass because everyone last semester said how many people failed that test. I'm really at a loss. The next test will consist of sleep, pain, electrolytes, oxygenation and some others. Idk if I should just focus on the recorded lectures that I took or go into the book and study other things. Idk how I'm going to recover and I am shaking in my boots and so nervous about how this semester will play out. I feel like I lost my motivation and that I've already failed cuz no matter how much I study, I never do well.
