Dominican University of CA Spring 2021

Hi! Just wanted to create a thread to anyone applying to Dominican University of California for Spring 2021! I have questions about your prereqs and stats!

I don't know how to reply to your post specifically LOL sorry about that

I am currently in SoCal and asked a counselor if I could do the first semester from here since it's remote but his response was "You will have to be here in person as you do start Nursing labs and those will be in person this Spring. The class will be online but the lab will be in person." So I assume it's a hybrid system... I prefer in person classes so I am excited!

do you guys know what’s the deadline to accept the offer and pay a deposit for Dominican?

did anyone get their official email yet? Or just the message on penguin portal ?

Just the message on the portal.. I have an appt with the Financial aid office on Monday to learn more about finances, etc.

Same here! I made an appointment for Tuesday to go over finances and stuff.

but I was kinda under impression that we would get an email with more details like mandatory orientation, different adjustments due COVID and stuff like that. Do you think it’s still coming ?

I think so because it seems like no one received anything, to say admitted, waitlisted or rejected. It is also important to explain to newly admitted students what to expect so I am sure it's coming

Exactly! Maybe they are just running behind with emails and stuff ??‍♀️
but do you think the message on penguin portal means that we got admitted into the actual program? Cause it doesn’t say nursing program anywhere, just university. 
I’m just being extra paranoid today LOL

100% the nursing program ? I wouldn't stress out too much. I am waiting to celebrate only when I enroll and it's official haha.

hi , I am from Chabot College, most school required only general Chemistry which is 30A, but they require 30 A and 30 B, 30 B is organic Chemistry .  you read it carefully, only class  that include organic Chemistry stuff

A quick question. If you guys end up going to Dominican, where are you gonna be commuting from ?

AND I am took Chemistry this semester, and counselor said they only consider people who completed. but the good thing about the school is they offer lots of scholarship, and not good thing is program three years, and no Summer class.
