Hi! Just wanted to create a thread to anyone applying to Dominican University of California for Spring 2021! I have questions about your prereqs and stats!

congrats everyone!!

they had already started sending rejections two weeks ago. I'm waiting on mine and my portal is blank as well. this anxiety is gonna kill me LOL

I just logged on to my portal. This is what I saw:

Congratulations, Louie, on your Admission to Dominican University of California!

followed by:

Welcome!

Louie,

Congratulations on your admission to Dominican University of California!

I hope you are as excited as we are and that you’re ready to take the next steps to join our community as a Penguin. We have Admissions and Financial Aid staff available for virtual appointments to answer any questions you and your family may have.

Once you’ve made your decision, please submit the Enrollment Response Form and, if applicable, the tuition and/or housing deposits.

Congratulations again!

Does this mean I'm officially a nursing student? Or is this just an indication that I was accepted to the school overall? There was no mention of the school of nursing anywhere in the portal.

I got the same thing! I think it means that we are officially nursing students. It’s different that CSUs where you have to be accepted twice

I think the nursing program will send the denied or acceptance, not university

It might be the same thing since it’s a private school. I only applied for one major which is nursing, so there’s no point to be accepted twice like the CSUs do ?

do you mind tell your stat? cause I think admitted program at least would declare nursing instead of general .

They are supposed to send out their decisions by the end of October, which is tomorrow, so hopefully we’ll get official emails from them any time now.

my overall GPA is 3.8, prerequisite GPA 3.9 and core science GPA is 4.0

I also have a year of paid medical experience and a second language, but I’m not sure if they take that into consideration

did you finished organic Chemistry ? cause they said if not . you will be only on waiting list.
