Dominican University of CA Spring 2021

Hi! Just wanted to create a thread to anyone applying to Dominican University of California for Spring 2021! I have questions about your prereqs and stats!

hey so I received mine today and it states that I have been accepted to the Spring 21 nursing program.  It includes a bit more details as to what we need to do next like set an appt with an administrator for the nursing program after we submit our enrollment response and deposit by Dec 1st.  

however, I was looking at the "Next steps" for financial aid and on the list it says " submit your $250 tuition deposit by Dec 1st to secure your spot at Dominican.  Spaces in your major are filled on a first come first served basis."

so does that mean that I still have to fight for my spot even though I was admitted already?? what does this mean exactly?

I was confused by this phrasing too. Maybe it’s related to applicants who got waitlisted?

I personally paid the deposit right away just to be safe

Damn.. I should do that too.  If anything we can get a refund before Dec 1st right?

That’s what it says. I just wanted to be safe and eliminate yet another thing to stress out about

I believe what is saying is that we have until Dec 1st to give them an answer (yes or no), if we fail to do so, they will give our spot to someone else.

Hello y'all! My name is Jessica Isla and I got admission acceptance too! :))

My Stats:

Overall: 3.7 GPA

Prerequisite: 3.7 GPA

- did ~300 hours of volunteering at a senior care center and helping out COVID 19 front line workers 

- Co-President/Social Media Coordinator for my volunteer club

- active member for a medical club at SFSU

and judging by this screenshot I'm pretty sure I got into the nursing program right? Sorry I am still at loss of words! I applied to USF's nursing program too.

Nahhh I’m still waiting for my letter in the mail. If anything I just got the acceptance message on my portal. Also thank you :))

Hi! Did everyone receive their letters on the mail? I accepted Dominican’s offer even before the other school replied. How about you guys?

Hi! When did you receive this letter? I received my waitlist a couple of weeks ago

Hi! I got mine on Halloween night.
