This thread is for anybody who is submitting their Application to Dominican University of California’s Fall 2022 Nursing Program by the March 1st deadline.
But anyways: great job to all of us anyways! We all worked so hard...I honestly thought all of us in this forum were gonna get in LOL, ever the optimist. We had such good stats too, but I guess it was just so competitive this time around. It was nice being part of this and it made the whole waiting process (and even rejection process) feel less lonesome!
Good luck to all of us in whatever we choose to pursue, and I hope we all stay somewhat in contact (in this Fall '22 forum or another) because I'd love to hear updates about you all!

I'm a bit bummed out...I'm not sure whether I should try again or not? Apparently they received a record number of applications, this being one of their most competitive cycles yet. Maybe there will be less applicants come Spring sem.
But honestly I really like the school and I might commit regardless! Initially, I wasn't sure I'd be getting any type of scholarships, but seeing this kinda changed up my plans (I was gonna go to SFSU for Public Health if rejected from DUC's nursing program). And perhaps being a DUC student will increase my chances of getting into the nursing program in the Spring?? (If I still plan to pursue nursing.)
How about you guys? Any of you who were rejected still planning to go to DUC this sem as a non-nursing major?
I've mostly heard about their accelerated BSN program--might end up doing that someday, honestly. Do they require the TEAS or anything?
Yes, SMU requires TEAS or HESI and they have prompt questions as well. They have a BSN program and they don't have summers off. If you have an AA in nursing their accelerated program is all online.

it's alright, I feel bummed out too. But honestly I just really think it's difficult to get in especially in the fall (when high schoolers graduate). The Spring time may have more openings and it doesn't hurt to try again!

Yeah, I think so. And yeah, it definitely doesn't hurt to try again!! It's not like it's the end of the world, and it's not like I can only apply this one time LOL. Are you going to be applying again? And are you thinking of going to DUC this sem?

Honestly, relatable. If I do go to Dominican this sem, I *might* do public health, but I'm not even entirely sure LOL. But the majors that the my rejection letter listed as other options sound interesting. I'll take a look at their majors list again later today...I might schedule an appt with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) to discuss my options haha.

Can we accept the 21k and wait until Spring application then?
