Situation:

A nurse had already been given packet 2 and waiting for packet 3. However, many months have pass the packet 3 didn't arrive. The recruitment agency contacted the NVC, then the error have been made, the NVC thought that that the nurse was already in the US and just changing the status. Thus, they didn't send the packet 3 form.

Question:

Does the NVC commit mistakes like this?

hi angeldust

i am sorry to hear that.

but you are eligble to know this information from this agency.

just call them and figure out what your application is going on.

i do not understand why they do not give you information. vbmenu_register("postmenu_1891923", true);

for sure they want to make sure i am tied down with them.

Everyone, thanks for the advises. I have been trying to ask them about all those infos you supplied since I started getting on line today but seems like I am getting no response... Only answers like I will refer your case to our documents manager. I will just update you all for any progress in information, if I have any luck at all. :o

Hi Angeldust, you really need to get your case number from your employer/agency so you can communicate with NVC yourself and don't have to rely on your employer. If they still give you excuses and is not able to furnish you anything (at least your I-140 receipt number...if you have this, your can email NVC to get your NVC case number), then your in big trouble. They might not have filed your I-140 yet therefore they are not able to give you your I-140 receipt number. Better demand from them at leadt this number. This is your only proof that it was indeed filed.

Thank you agp_ph. This is really big help for me. Like what everyone says,it is best to get documents for full proof that they are indeed doing their job. So far, the latest that they've told me was that my papers were already at NVC on August 22, 2006, with remarks as completed. This does not sound promising though. :o

If that is completed, it will be forwarded to the US consulate and wait for at least 4-12 weeks. Better to ask for your case no. you have the right to know it for all your correspondence in NVC and US Consulate. Ask for your case no. ASAP.

angeldust, do you know your NVC case number (MNL2006XXXXXX)? If you do, you can check the progress of your case by calling NVC at 0016033340700. If you don't know, ask your agency for your case number.

Hello everyone.... Yes I got a receipt number already but they cannot provide me yet with NVC case number. The remarks given to me is YOUR CASE NUMBER HAS BEEN SENT TO YOUR HOME ADDRESS (CHOICE OF AGENT LETTER). I am quite confused because I was thinking all correspondence are channeled to them. There were just lots of forms I filled up in the past. Anyhow, with this new info would it mean NVC has mailed my case number directly to my residence? So far, I receive none.

Anyone, please I need your opinion/ideas about this issue. Thank you all in advance.

PD or Priority Date is the date when your I-140 was received by the USCIS office. Also known as Notice of Receipt/Action.

Hi Rep! Can you clarify to me which is PD between the 2 dates. You have more legal knowledge on this issue. It says here, USCIS Notice date is 2-6-06 then date of I-140 approval is 4-4-06. So, which is the PD date? It is a little bit confusing.

first one, 2-6-06, it is the date when USCIS received your document, not the date of I-140 approval.

I emailed NVC with a query and gave them my receipt number for I140 and they replied and also gave me my NVC number.

Hi happylearning and silverdragon,

Thank you so much for the quick responses. This is indeed a great site for nurses. Personally, I am learning so much here. God bless!
