...........just saying. I've noticed that almost every hospital/nrsing home I apply for job wants me, compare to my female friend looking for the same job

what's a woman doing here anyway, they already have nursing

Eeeww! There are girl cooties all over this thread now.

yeah, it opens more doors than it shuts, just don't hold your breath for a job n a ob/gyn setting.

The only door that opens is the one that I open for myself...:jester:

I would say that it doesn't open more doors in the profession, but definitely as an individual. When it comes to a male working in (at least what a society has made to be) a female profession, we/men are more likely to move up faster than a women.

If that's not motivation, then what is. However, I do believe that both genders are vital to this profession.

Awesome! Being surrounded by women AND getting a job/promotion easily? Looks like i chose the right major.

So if you are unable to pass the same test everyone else has to pass in order to get into nursing school they will lower their standards for you? Once you get admitted and start to fail your finals do they lower the passing grade on those also? You can't get a C so they lower passing to a D? Kind of sounds like your average affimative action program. As a guy, that is not kind of support I am looking for.

Yeah, it doesnt seem fair.

I dont know all the details, but some people in the program had already gotten in the program already. And the people who didnt get in the regular way were the ones that were borderline.
