So I have applied countless number of places in and around Philadelphia.I have received the same responses I need a yr exp, come back when u have this experience, your resume is impressive we wish you good luck.Which as left me rather frus mytrated and I'm contemplatine maybe endorsing my license to another state preferrably New York. Also quite hesistant for fear getting a job maybe be similar to my situation in Philly.:crying2: How am I ever gonna have experience if everyone tells me the same thing? So an angency that hires new grads would be quite helpful,Thanks in advance.

In the same boat here in the DC metro area, I have had my license since Novemeber abd still can't find a job. It's ridiculous, how are we supposed to get experience if we can't work.

I have no idea Steph,I keep wondering where Lpns who are working right now got started as a new nurse.I got a called yesterday from a staff agency and they asked me if I have a yr exp and I replied "No,I haven't been able to an attain any exp since everyone wants a yr exp to hire" and they replied "That's what they want too!".I thought getting a job as a nurse would be quite easy but I guess not.

Good luck. Just remember to renew your license ahead of time. Don't be stupid like me.:crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:

Getting a job as a nurse was very easy until the U.S. economy crashed in 2008.

The unemployment rate is still high. Since unemployed people usually do not have medical insurance, they stay away from doctors' offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. As a result, healthcare facilities have less traffic and a reduced need for nurses.

In addition, Medicare and Medicaid cutbacks have reduced the amount of revenues that these facilities generate.

Try nursing homes in South Jersey around Voorhees. They are always hiring. They might work you hard and you might have to work a lot of hours but at least you'll be getting some much needed experience. If not try a temp agency. I hear theres a really good one in Cherry Hill that doesnt make you pay for their services.

Well thank you very much!
