Do they have a good nursing program? I have looked at the info that is available on their website and it doesn't mention anything about a required entrance exam like the TEAS. Do they require it? I would love any info on this program anyone has. If you don't want to post here, please PM me. Thanks!

I know a few grads of the program, also some students. Appears to be a good program, good results. I am partial to KSU, my alma mater.

While I haven't had direct educational experience with GA Highlands, I have precepted several of their students during their clinicals. Each and every student has been a joy to work with! They are serious, focused, and willing to learn.
Best of luck to you in your studies!

I'm a first year student in the Georgia Highlands Nursing Program. So far so good...There was no entrance exam...just the prereq's...GH actually has 2 nursing programs...one is in Rome and the other is in Acworth, at the North Metro Tech campus (this is where I am). The program in Rome is open to 80 students/year and Acworth is open to 25 students/year. Acworth is a scholarship program through Wellstar...you apply to GH....are chosen by Wellstar...write an essay....interview...and if accepted...Wellstar pays everything and you promise to work for them for three years following graduation. I love it! It is a tough program, but GH claims they have a 94% NCLEX pass rate...so I guess it will be worth it! Good Luck!
OliveOyl is it possible to attend the Acworth program and not be accepted into the wellstar scholarship program?
LL...no...Everyone there must sign a 3 year contract with Wellstar

Olive OYL please,i really want to go for my ADN-BSN currently working as an RN .I am a graduate of Nsg from another country. How do i get into this program or anyone, which school do you think is better for me.GSU,KSU or this GH.Need some advice.Please,anyone.Thanks
Georgia Highlands does not offer a ADN-BSN program. Kennesaw State is supposed to have a wonderful ADN-BSN bridge program (i think most of it can even be taken online) Good luck
