Does anyone else hate nursing school?

Published

I am beginning to hate nursing school. I say this because I failed the maternity portion of maternity/peds by 1 point. I talked with my professor about it and she basically told me in a rude way that no extra points are going to be given. I asked her if they were going to teach the course in the summer (they have the past couple of years) but she claims she doesn't know yet. If they don't the class isn't taught again until next Jan. I have been told that I am more than welcome to attend peds lecture, however I can't attend clinical. I can't believe they would hold 1 point against a person, but they will. :banghead:

The past two years have been dreadful especially the last year but thank God it's almost over for me.

It's after 1am where I am at and I have just finished my last project for nursing school. I have to wake for clinicals in less than 5 hours and I am not even sure if my uniform top is clean!?

I'm so very tired but today and tomorrow are my last clinical days and after I do this stupid presentation that has taken me all night to put together I only have exams to get through. I think extreme fatigue is making me loopy but I am here almost in tears of joy at the thought that in just one and a half weeks it's really, truly, finally all over.

Very soon no more double weekend shifts so that I can go to school all week long. My kids will once again have hot meals and a clean house to live in. I will be able to catch up on T.V, books NOT related to NS, and *gasp* even watch a movie with a my DH now and again.

Keep going guys it really does end at some point!
