Make and keep a running list of all previous jobs including supervisor's names, business address, position, duties, reason for leaving and starting and ending pay.
Start now with collecting several personal references. Ask people first if you can use them as a reference. Update this list every 6 months to a year.
Social security card.
Sad as it is, these days I'd have a copy of my birth certificate to prove you are who you say you are.
Copies of any certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.)
Can't think of anything else right now.
My current employer demanded a copy of my malpractice insurance policy. This is the first time a new employer wanted this document. Needless to say, I know where I stand if there is ever a lawsuit resulting from my employment with them.

I'm wanting to make a folder of papers and information I will need when being hired. I know they will make a copy of my drivers license, they'll want a copy of my nursing licenses, but what other things will they want? Thanks so much!
