I don't know any doctors who have become nurses.

I don't know any doctors who have become nurses.

As the popualtion ages, I believe that nurses, doctors, as well as mid level practioners will all be in demand as the population seeks affordable, accessible and safe health care. I know here in the US the nurses shortage is greater in some places than in other, but as projections show I do believe that doctors will also be in demand. At this time, I do believe that nurses are much more in demand than doctors. But I really don't think a doctor would become a nurse no matter how bad the shortage got. Just think if you went thru eight years of schooling and internship, would you give that up to be clean people up, even though you thought you could not find a job? There are always jobs for MD's.....

She told me many a time she should have become a nurse which is sad as she is an awesome doc.
