Do you think my TEAS test score is good enough for top 20 ??

Published

Adjusted individual total: 72.7%

ATI Academic Preparedness Category: Proficient

Mean- National: 62%

Mean- Program: 53.8%

Percentile Rank- National: 79

Percentile Rank- Program: 94

damn your program rank is 94 w/ a 72. Depends on the school and it looks like might pull it off.

I know that I was shocked that I ranked so well with only a 72.7% but I'll take it! I hope that I do get in. The waiting is so hard.

Looks like your program average is pretty low. My school has a higher average, but even so, people who got 72s got in, so you may have done well enough for your program. Best of luck!

Does the program average mean just at my school? I am confused about that one.

Thanks.

Yes, program average refers to your school.

Yes, program average refers to your school.

Program average refers to ADN, BSN, LVN, etc. It is not school specific.

From the ATI website

Mean - Program:

The program mean is the average of the

adjusted individual scores of all test takers of

your program type (within a specified sample

from the ATI data pool) for this assessment

within a specified time.

I know I've read this before and that it is supposedly the same for that particular program TYPE, but I've never seen two program averages that are the same, so I'm not sure we're interpreting this correctly. I've seen lots of figures for associate RN programs and all the averages are different- so I think the key here is the specified sample. My (very unsupported by any actual info) guess is that your specific program can specify the sample group.

I think the difference is the assessment ID. There are apparently several versions of the TEAS 3,4 and 5. Your results are compared to everyone else who took the same version, for the same program type.

Good point- I didn't consider that.

And congrats, OP!!! Always happy to hear someone else is closer to reaching their goal. :~)
