I have the worst luck. I probably will never make it into nursing school. First time I passed except the Reading and Math. Then the second time I passed the Math but couldn't get enough points for the Reading. My school only allows two retakes but I am desperate and thinking maybe if I take it a third time maybe they will take it. This TEAS is just making it hard for me to accomplish my dream. I know RNs years ago never had to take the TEAS. Now, it just seems like a huge obstacle for people like me. I can't sleep or anything. I am very distraught. My only option is Rad Tech school which doesn't require the TEAS but I hear there is no demand for this career.

moved to our Pre-Nursing Student forum...see other TEAS threads here.
In years past, prospective students took NLN exams to determine LPN and RN program acceptance.
There are study manuals that help brush up your skills. Another option is to take community college class that helps students review and prepare for standardized tests.
Best wishes moving forward.

The Hesi2 was required for the college I applied at. It consists of vocabulary, reading, math, chemistry, and anat/phys. Everything is really easy except for the chemistry and anat, where you really have to take the classes in order to know the material. I dont know about taking the TEAS, but I know some colleges here use it here too. Usually there is study manuals you can buy for these entrance exams you can buy at the local college bookstore, or go the Amazon route to save some money. Good luck to you.

I think the Teas is unfair. There were questions on rocks, clouds, percipitation etc, what does that have to do with nursing? I only had one question on anatomy. My school gives us two choices to apply one by Teas scores or by GPA. Maybe you can apply to another school nearby that has a lower teas scores or a GPA option or merit points.

I know how frustrated you are, I am in a similar situation. I do not think it is a fair representation of our academic abilities. I have a very high GPA but can't pass the Teas.
