Do you think schools will resume this year?

Hi,

I'm a school nurse in the northeast. We are closed for at least 2 weeks, but I anticipate it will be much longer than that. I really do hope that we get to a point where it is safe to reopen, but my gut is saying that we might be done for this school year.

What are your thoughts?

As Nurse Betty said, we're out for the school year. I hear that Summer school has been canceled as well, though they might open one building for some special cases.

That means that there's likely no Summer employment opportunity for me this year (my contract is predicated on student attendance). I'm guess I'm lucky they continued to pay me during the shutdown.
