English is my second language, and I get asked this question a lot. I don't think being ESL was a factor against me in the test, but for some people, it could be, what do you think?

For some people English not being their first language has caused problems with the exam.

I think ESL would make the nclex more difficult, esp with the theraputic communication questions. We had one girl in my class who was Asian and english was her second language and it was always very difficult to understand her, but she knew the material like the back of her hand, I swear she memorized our nursing textbooks; she was so smart!
However, begin bilingual has major advantages and once you pass the nclex you'll more likely get paid more! Keep up the good work!

Wrong hun, you don't get paid more for speaking another language
Oh, my bad. For some reason I thought people who were bilingual got paid more after they took some kind of test. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
