what should i do-take microbiol & A&P2 together or seperate?

Published

hey, what is there to know about microbiology? what is the class like, how different or similar is it to A&P 1 or 2. what do you think, should i even consider taking microbiol and A&P 2 classes together or just a really bad idea? one of my friends is doing that and i'm really considering doing that as well with her.

I also suggest that you take them seperatly. I am taking physio right now and it is wearing me out!!!! Others inmyclass that are also taking micro are having a really hard time. At the same time I think it is possible, it just depends on how much study time you have. If you really give it the time to study I am sure you can do fine. Good luck with whatever you decide!!

OK, now I'm scared! I am registered for micro and A&P2 for next semester. They are my last two prerequisites, and I want to get them done, but I also don't want to kill myself to pass! I also work full time, and we do get study time at work (I work nights in a hospital as a HUC, and when it's quiet, we are encouraged to use the time to study.), but I don't know if it will be enough. But on the other hand, I don't want to take a bunch of useless classes to fill in the requirements to get my financial aid, so I'm really confused now!!!!!

I think if these are your last 2 pre-req's then you know what kind of a student you are. If you feel you can handle it (and I assume you knew you could since you signed up for both at the same time) then go for it!

I plan on doing the same thing. I was going to take A&P I & II during the summer because they are offered as 2 - 5 week classes back to back but I decides since Anatomy is such an important subject that I will just take Chem over the summer which means I will have to take A&P I or II along with micro. I think I can handle it because those are the only 2 classes I will take that semester since they both have labs too.

I too will be with the crowd taking A&P II and Micro together. My advice - don't sweat it too much, especially if you are getting to the end of your prereqs. You know what you can handle and, if you think you'll be up to it, then you'll be fine. I asked a friend about it who is in her 2nd yr. of the RN schooling and she was completely positive I would be fine. It's just a matter of dedication. Anyway, it looks like there will be several of us muddeling through together to support each other, at the very least. ;) Best of luck to all!!!

If your taking 18 units and AP2 and micro I recomend against it. Now if your taking just AP2 and micro for a total of 9 units that might be ok if your not working as well. Though pulling a (A) in bolth classes at the same time might be risky. Every person I know that is taking Ap2 and micro together is pulling a © (B) instead of the often needed (A) (A) in bolth classes.
