There are some other programs my college offers,,one is called health information that deals alot with health records and coding. Do RN's need to learn alot about this area? I may can borrow a few classes off this program to make me a full time student.
thanks.

Not really. There are so many branches of nursing, but this one that you write about is not required for us to learn. You may be able to pursue it once you get your RN degree. They are called "Nurse auditors", so those certificates will be of help to you.

It honestly depends on which area of nursing you would like to get in to.......... I recently moved from a hospital setting (where I wasnt expected to know anything about coding/billing) to an outpatient facility where I am expected to knoweverything. I am kicking myself for not taking advantage of extra classes when I had the oppertunity. If you need to fill some gaps in your schedual you might as well. In this job market every little bit helps!!!!
