Do you re-take NCLEX if you move?

I'm getting different answers from different people, so I'm asking here only from people that know for certain...

If I live in Florida (non-compact) and work as an RN, then move to California (non-compact) or any other state for that matter, should I ever need to retake boards or should it just involve endorsement?

Once you have your license, only endorsement is needed. If you are an ASN & pass the NCLEX-RN you don't ever have to take the NCLEX again unless you let your license lapse too long.

U only have to apply for endorsement that's it. No more test.

once you take and pass nclex you do not have to do it again. what compact means is in regard to the license itself. as a compact state they recognize the other states license and you can work with it in another state (see info below) whereas a non-compact state will require you to apply for and pay for a license in their state before you can practice as a nurse and is only good for that state.

from the nlc website:

[color=#333333]there is no time limit, assuming you have a valid license in good standing. your license was issued by your home state. as long as you maintain that home state as your declared primary state of residency and remain in good standing, you may practice in other compact states.[color=#333333]once you establish residency in a different compact state and are employed in nursing, you have 30 days to obtain that state’s license by applying for licensure by endorsement. the following are examples of establishing primary state of residency: obtaining a driver’s license, voting/registering to vote, filing federal taxes with an address in that state. because the state’s licensure by endorsement process may take more than 30 days, it is suggested you apply early.[color=#333333]

I hope this isn't too stupid of a question but what is endorsement? How do I get this done? Thanks so much

It just means verification to another state from the state that you are in that you hold a valid license. Try http://www.nursys.com. Good Luck!
